I have my mother to thank for this lovely tool, which I received in my Christmas stocking.
It is so simple to use! Just cut the ends off of a fresh pineapple, then twist the end of this corer/slicer into the pineapple until it can twist no longer. Then pull on the handle to remove a neat coil of round pineapple slices. In order not to waste the remaining bits of pineapple that did not get removed with this tool, I sliced the shell of the pineapple in half, then carefully removed the remaining small pieces, about a cup of small pineapple chunks–the perfect amount for pizza topping!
